Painting a Yarmouth Drifter

Painted in January down by the river in Wivenhoe. A Yarmouth drifter ‘Gipsy Queen’ triptych for an exhibition at the Time and Tide Museum, Gt Yarmouth 2018 as part of Firstsite’s “Wood to Water” touring show.

Colchester Art Society award

On Saturday 13th August James had the honour of receiving the John Nash medal from Colchester Art Society for his contribution to the arts amid a great exhibition from the CAS at the Minories, a speech from Ronald Blythe, and some wonderful cake. The silver medal was sculpted by John Doubleday.
