New book: “tracks in the sand”

Jardine Press has produced a new book about my grandfather Tim Foster’s experiences in the first world war. The book is composed of Tim’s letters home to his sweetheart Pollie Pannell (my granny), together with photographs that he took and developed in Egypt and Palestine, and all sorts of ephemera from his time helping to build the railway across the Sinai desert to become the first English station master at Jerusalem.
